Description of Energy Star

Saving Money and the Planet

Most Americans understand the impact inefficient home energy use can have on their utility bills. But few realize that their homes can create twice as many greenhouse emissions as their cars.

In order to help homeowners save money on their energy bills and protect the environment, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the U.S. Department of Energy created ENERGY STAR® in 1992. Today, you’ll find the ENERGY STAR® logo on major appliances, office equipment, lighting, electronics, commercial and industrial buildings, and new homes.

Home Performance with ENERGY STAR® is part of an initiative to improve the efficiency of existing homes. Alpine Energy Solutions believes strongly in the ENERGY STAR® mission and is proud to help bring the cost, comfort, safety, and environmental benefits to Wisconsin homeowners.
